John M. McGuire, M.A., C.P.A. functions as President and Chief Executive Officer of Surgical Implant Services. Mr. McGuire’s experiences include more than fourteen years of business and operational activity in the corporate community, in organized medicine and in the healthcare manufacturing industry. Through his extensive business training with GE/Capital, where he demonstrated skills in management, marketing, finance, and internal auditing, he has gained a strong knowledge of the requirements for a successful enterprise. In addition, having served as Associate Executive Director for Medical Specialty Societies and Director of Finance and Medical Economics for the Florida Medical Association, he has developed all the necessary skills related to physician-driven initiatives. These skills include the ability to deal with managed care, medical economics, financial planning, marketing, computer data base management, and the coordination of educational activities. Further, Mr. McGuire brings seven years direct experience in the medical device manufacturing arena, where he has held positions of increasing responsibility in senior management. It is this unique combination of business, organized medicine, and medical product manufacturing that qualifies Mr. McGuire for a position of leadership and development in SIS.
